Easter Coffee Morning
Once again the staff, residents, families and friends rallied round to support our coffee morning which raised £300 for charity. We would like to extend a very big thank you to everyone who took part and raised the money with special thanks going to Moira Benson for all the knitted toys and raffles she tirelessly does for us.

Ardgowan Hospice
We had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £5,000 to Ardgowan Hospice. This was the money raised from the very successful Altnacraig Christmas Ball. The donation was handed over by Sheena to Elaine McNeill. We hope next year to exceed the sum of money we can raise from holding the Christmas Ball.
If any residents or their families or staff are interested in buying tickets for this year’s Christmas Ball they should contact Agnes Maloney who is keeping a list. The Ball will be held in the Greenock Town Hall which is booked for Saturday 7th December 2013. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

The first Alt-na-Craig Xmas Ball in aid of Ardgowan Hospice was held at Greenock Town Hall on 8th December and was a huge success. The Town Hall was beautifully decorated, and the Ball was a sell out with 250 people attending including some residents and staff, all beautifully dressed up for the occasion! The Ball also incorporated an Awards Ceremony for the staff and Tom Smillie, Rosemary Hendry, Eleanor Pickett, Alison Bradley, and Pauline MacDonald were the worthy award winners. The entertainment was provided by Lyon, a fabulous singer who came from Zurich, and by Billy McIsaac and his band. The evening was so successful that it is very likely there will be another Xmas Ball next year.
